Under Course Tools in Course Management, click Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
- Click on the Course Room Options circle.
- Select Edit settings from the menu.
- If you want students to load or share content, select the Default Attendee Role to be Presenter. If students will also need to start a recording, select the Default Attendee Role to be Moderator. Otherwise, leave the default role as participant. For more information see /wiki/spaces/MAR/pages/14191636.
By default, students Under Room Attributes, switch Full Participant Permissions to ON. This will give students immediate access to audio, video, text chat and white board. You can disable any of - As long as it does not violate intellectual property rights, select to Allow recording downloads for students to review material offline.
- By default participants in a session can share their audio, share their video, post chat messages, and draw. If you prefer student to not have access to these features, uncheck the boxes. You can also adjust these permissions in the session. For office hours and course presentations, switch Allow Guests to OFF. If you will be having guests who are not enrolled in your Blackboard course joining the room, see instructions for allowing guests in the room.
- Click Save.
