If you will be having guests who are not enrolled in your Blackboard course joining your Blackboard Collaborate room, you will need to adjust the settings accordingly. 

1. Under Course Tools in Course Management, click Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

2. Click Edit Room on the Course Room Options circle.

3. Select Edit settings from the menu.

4. Make sure the Guest access box is checked.

5. Under Room Attributes switch Allow Guests to ON. 
   
6. Click Save.
   
7. Click Invite Guests. 
   
8. If you will be composing your notification, copy the Public URL, and send it to your guests. Otherwise, enter guest emails and click Add. 
   
9. Click Send Invitation.
   
10. Provide the session URL (if you are sending it yourself) and guest access instructions to your guests.
