Under Course Tools in Course Management, click Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
- Click on the Course Room Options circle.
- Select Edit settings from the menu.
- If you want students to load or share content, select the Default Attendee Role to be Presenter. If students will also need to start a recording, select the Default Attendee Role to be Moderator. Otherwise, leave the default role as participant. For more information see /wiki/spaces/MAR/pages/14191636.
- By default, students Under Room Attributes, switch Full Participant Permissions to ON. This will give students immediate access to audio, video, text chat and white board. You can disable any of these permissions in the session.
- For office hours and course presentations, switch Allow Guests to OFF. If you will be having guests who are not enrolled in your Blackboard course joining the room, see instructions for allowing guests in the room.
If you want students to record the session or load content, check the All users join as moderators box. Otherwise, leave unchecked. For more information see /wiki/spaces/MAR/pages/14191636. 
- Click Save.
