Access Room as a Guest
Follow these instructions to access a Blackboard Collaborate session if you have been provided with a guest access URL.

- Plug in your headset or turn on built in microphone and speakers.Try watching a YouTube video or listening to music from your computer to make sure audio is working. If you have trouble, try restarting your computer.
- Go to the guest access URL that was given to you. Note: Blackboard Collaborate Ultra works best in Google Chrome.
- If prompted, enter your name and click Submit:
- Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the session, and click Join Session.
- Blackboard suggests that you use Google Chrome browser in order to have the best experience in Collaborate Ultra. If you choose to enter the room using a different browser (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.), the following message will appear. You can choose to continue using a non-Chrome browser by clicking the "x" in the upper right area of the message or attempt to enter the room using Google Chrome.
- Non-Chrome users will be prompted to test their microphone and camera. Click Yes to start testing.
- Click the radio button next to Allow to give Collaborate permission to access your microphone and camera.
- Click Close after you have selected the allow option.
