After you login to Blackboard Learn, you will see the My UMass Amherst Interface, where you can access your courses, grades and methods of communication, among other options. The numbers in the image below correspond to the table on this page. Please read through the descriptions to understand the information available to you on the My UMass Amherst page.

Help Desk Information

This area displays information on how to get help with Blackboard Learn, as well as how to get help with your UMass account information, UMass email, and SPIRE.

Tools

The Tools menu displays tools such as Send Email, My Grades, and Calendar that are available to you as a student.

My Announcements
All announcements made in all courses that you are enrolled in are listed here.

What's New

The What's New area displays new items that have been added to your courses. For example, new assignments, tests, or course content that have been added recently.

My Messages

The My Messages area shows a listing of all courses that have unread messages.

My Courses

This area provides access to the courses in which the user is enrolled.

My Tasks

The tasks tool is used to keep track of work that must be completed. Each task has a status and a due date. Instructors can identify course tasks and add them to the list.

My UMass Amherst Page

The My UMass Amherst page is the main page to view all courses for which you are enrolled. The My UMass Amherst Page also allows you to access your Tools, Announcements, Tasks, and Calendar Modules, as well as any others that you add to the My UMass Amherst Page.

Help & Resources

The Help & Resources page provides a list of resources such as the W.E.B DuBois Library website, the Continuing and Professional Education home page, UMass Amherst Disability Services, and the UMass Amherst OMBUDS office.

Logout

The Logout button allows you to log out of Blackboard Learn.
