Setting Assignment Due Dates

Blackboard allows you to set Due Dates for Assignments on the Edit Assignment page. This due date will automatically appear on the Course Calendar. If a student submits the assignment after the due date, the assignment will be marked as Late in the Grade Center.

Navigate to Assignments in your Course Content using the Course Menu. Often Assignments are in the Assignments Content Area of the Course Menu.
Click the Action Link next to the item title to reveal the drop-down menu.
On the drop-down menu click Edit.
Scroll down to the Due Dates section and specify the due date by clicking on the calendar icon and the time the assignment is due by clicking on the clock icon.
1. Reminder: When setting the due date time, Midnight is the start of the day. The End of Day option is 11:59pm.
Click Submit to save your due-date selection.
A green banner will appear at the top of the window to confirm that the edit was successfully submitted.
