Is your browser blocking pop-up windows?
While most content within Blackboard Learn resides in one main browser window, occasionally various applets or pages will appear inside a pop-up window. It is important that your browser settings are configured to allow this to happen so that you can properly access all of your course's materials.
1. Open the Tools Menu by clicking on the gear icon (
2. Click Internet Options on the drop down menu.
3. Click the Privacy tab, and then click the Settings button.
4. Enter https://uma.umassonline.net in the Address of the website to allow box and click Add.
5. The website address will appear in the Allowed sites box. You can now close the settings window.
1. Navigate to the Blackboard Learn login page. Log into Blackboard Learn.
2. Click on the Lock icon () located on the left side of the address bar.
3. Click Site settings on the drop down menu.
4. Scroll down to Pop-ups and redirects and click the drop down menu to the right. Click Allow on the drop down menu.
5. Close the settings window.

) located in the top right hand corner of the browser window.
Click the Options button with the gear icon on the drop-down menu.

If the checkbox next the Block pop-up windows is not checked, you do not need to make any changes. If the box is checked, click the Exceptions button to the right of Block pop-up windows.

Click the Allow button.
