Viewing Test Statistics (Item Analysis)

Blackboard's Item Analysis feature allows instructors to view statistics on tests. These statistics can help identify problem questions or concepts which need more attention. To access the Item Analysis after a test has been completed by students:


  1. Open the Course Menu and open the Course Tools header. Click the Tests, Surveys, and Pools menu item.
  2. Click the blue Tests link.
  3. Click the action button next the to test you would like analyzed, then click Item Analysis in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click the drop-down menu next to Select Test and choose the test you would like analyzed. Once the test is selected, click the Run button.
  5. Click on the name of the test that appears under Available Analysis.
