Moving and Copying Items

When you create content in your course, you may find that you want to move a piece of content to a different place in your course, or copy that piece of content. 

To move course content:

  1. Click on the item's action link.
  2. Select Move from the drop-down menu. 



  3. On the Move Item page, select the item's Destination Course and Destination Folder.  
    1. Please Note: Once you have moved the item, it will no longer be available in its previous location. If you wish have the item in both locations, you must copy the item.
  4. Select an option next to Create links for items which cannot be copied. The default is Yes

  5. Click Submit. The item is now located in the place that you selected.



 To copy course content:

  1. Click on the item's action link.
  2. Select Copy from the drop-down menu. 

    Click Copy

  3. On the Copy Item page, choose the new Destination Course and Destination Folder. 
  4. Select an option next to Create links for items which cannot be copied. The default is Yes

  5. Under Attachments and Embedded Links, select whether you would like to copy links to attached and embedded files, or to include links and make copies of attached and embedded files.
  6. When you are finished, click Submit to copy the file.
