The following information will guide you through the process of adding images to the content editor. When selecting images, please keep in mind that copyright laws prohibit your use of images from webpages. However, images may be expressly permitted for open use. Visit our Best Practices: Sharing Images page to learn how you can search for images that are labeled for reuse.  

  1. To embed an image in the text area of the content editor, make sure your content editor is in advanced view mode. To see this mode, click the Show More function to access more editor functions.Use the arrows to expand the function of the text editor.

  2. Click on the Insert/Edit Image function.

  3. In the new window that appears, click Browse My Computer to select an image file.

  4. Select the image file that you would like to embed and then click Choose

  5. Optionally, type an image description and/or title in the Image Description and Title boxes.

  6. To edit the image's size, click on the Appearance tab.

  7. Type desired image dimensions in the Dimensions boxes.

  8. When you are ready to insert your image, click Insert.

  9. You will now be able to view the image you've selected in the content editor.
