Is your browser up-to-date?

Please follow the steps below to ensure that your Windows browser is properly configured for use in Blackboard Learn.

You can expand each section by clicking on the text. To enlarge screenshots, simply click on the thumbnail. 

 Internet Explorer
  1. Click on the gear icon (Gear icon) located in the upper right hand corner of the browser window.
     
  2. Click About Internet Explorer. The About Internet Explorer window appears.

  3. Verify the version of your Internet Explorer.

 Google Chrome
  1. Click the three vertical dots menu button () located in the top right hand corner of the browser window. 
     
  2. Click Help, then click About Google Chrome. The About Google Chrome window loads in a new tab.

  3. Verify whether or not your version of Chrome is up to date. If so, you will see a blue check mark.

 Mozilla Firefox
  1. Click the Open Menu button which looks like three horizontal lines () located in the top right hand corner of the browser window. 
     
  2. Click the Help button on the drop-down menu. This will open a new menu.
  3. Click About Firefox. The About Mozilla Firefox window will open as a new page.


     
  4. Verify whether or not your version of Firefox is up to date. Mozilla will notify you if so.
