Viewing Assessment Grades & Feedback

The following instructions and imagery will guide you through the process of viewing assessment grades and feedback.

The grade and feedback that students receive after taking a test depend on the options that the instructor has selected. For example, students may only see the final score, or they may be able to see the final score, feedback, and correct answers. Feedback includes one or more of the following:

  • Final score for the test
  • Answers submitted
  • Correct answers
  • Feedback for the questions

 To View Grade Details in Your Course (Click here to expand...)
  1. Enter Blackboard and open your course.
  2. Select "My Grades" on the Course Menu sidebar.
  3. Click on the name of the assessment on the My Grades page. If there are grade details available, the name of the assessment will be blue.
  4. Click on the grade in the "Calculated Grade" column.
  5. Scroll through the questions from the test to see the details. Depending on how your instructor set up the test, this may include how you answered questions, the correct answers, and feedback.


 To Check Grades From the Global Navigation Menu (Click here to expand...)



 1. Click on My Grades from the Global Navigation Menu.

2. A list of your graded items will be displayed on the left side of the screen. On the right side, you can see more details and feedback for a given assignment. Click on View Attempts to see more details about your submitted work.

3. You can review details from your assessment, such as the number of attempts you have made, the date and time you submitted your work, and the grade received.

4. You are able to review details about how long it took you to complete the test, which questions you answered incorrectly, and the date/time of your submission.

5. Scroll through the questions from the test to see how you answered them.

Note: Some instructors may disable the ability to review specific questions and answers from tests. Please contact your course instructor for more information.


To access your test grades and feedback, go to My Grades or click on the title of the test in the Content Area in which it is stored. 

Note:  If your instructor has used a rubric for grading, click “View Rubric” while reviewing your test to view the detailed grading information.
