Checking UMass Email

According to UMass Amherst's IT Policy, students are expected to check their UMass Amherst email addresses on a regular basis. Before you can check your UMass email for the first time, you must activate your NetID and password by following the instructions on the Activate Your Account account. After you have activated your account, view images and instructions below to learn how to check your UMass email. 

1. To check your UMass Amherst email, visit the UMass Amherst homepage and click Email in the upper righthand corner.

2. Review the information on the Email at UMass Amherst page to determine the appropriate email platform. Based on your student status, click the appropriate login box. (Note: If you would like to skip Step 1, bookmark the Email at UMass Amherst page: https://www.umass.edu/it/email)

3. Enter your NetID and password in the boxes. Click the grey arrow in the password box to access your email.

4. If you ever forget your password, click the Forgot your password link in the email login window.
