Change Profile Picture

Blackboard allows students and instructors to set a profile picture which will appear on discussions, blogs, journals, wikis, and other tools. This image is visible to both your instructor and to other students.

1. Log into Blackboard. Here is a link to the login page.
   
   
2. On the Blackboard homepage, click on the gray button containing your name in the upper-right corner (next to the power button) to open the Global Navigation Menu. This will open a drop-down menu.
   
3. Click “Settings” on the drop-down menu, then click the “Personal Information” link to open the Personal Information page.
   
4. On the Personal Information page, click the “Personalize My Settings” link.
   
5. Under the Avatar Image section, select the bubble next to “Use custom avatar image”. Click the “Browse My Computer” button to upload the profile picture from your computer. Once you have selected and image, it will appear above the Attach File text. Blackboard recommends that your profile picture is 150 by 150 pixels in size. Larger images may not upload correctly.
   
6. Click the submit button at the bottom of the screen to save the avatar.
